Due to the state of the world, the 2020 Ocean Race Summits have gone virtual, and we were fortunate enough to be on-site in Newport to manage a piece of the live stream. With over 700 registered participants and speakers such as Senator Whitehouse and former Prime Minister of Costa Rica, Jose Maria Figueres, the Summit plays a major role in the discussions of local and global ocean sustainability.
The Ocean Race Summits gave us a unique opportunity to work on a large scale live production, something that was new to us. In support of Anna Valley and Innovision we were able to adapt to the fast paced and ever changing environment and manage the Newport location's needs very quickly and successfully.
We were brought in to manage and produce the Newport location, just one piece of the larger and international broadcast. Working with two companies as large and established as Anna Valley and Innovision, for clients 11th Hour Racing and The Ocean Race, was a great experience for us that we're glad to have enjoyed.
We also helped film several pre-recorded assets that were presented during the livestream. The first was a dynamic interview between co-host Danni Washington and head skipper of the 11th Hour Racing Team, Charlie Enright, in addition to a group of students. The other asset was a spoken monologue from Wendy Schmidt, founder of 11th Hour Racing.
