Hearst Digital hired BYB Pictures to completely produce, direct, film, edit, and deliver 6 episodes of the show "Eat Play Stay: Boston" for their new streaming service "Very Local". BYB worked collaboratively with the digital team at Hearst to craft each episode.

How We Produced It

Pre Production

The BYB Team worked closely with Hearst's producers to select locations all around New England that would be highlighted as part of this show. BYB then communicated with and scheduled shoot dates and times with 8 locations in 6 different cities and 4 different states for a total of 48 filming locations over 12 production days.

Production

Traveling with our lean team of 3 for this production we hit the road for 12 total production days spread out over the months of September October and December of 2021. Filming multiple interviews at each location, as well as indoors and outdoors in a harsh New England winter our team adjusted on the fly to capture great content.

Post-Production

Developing story concepts and writing complete drafts of each episode script was just the beginning of the post production process for this show. BYB handled all aspects of post-production up until delivery and finishing by sourcing all music and crafting the timelines as well as color grading and audio mixing each ~24 minute episode.
